From the moment payment for the reservation is made, the passenger is considered to have accepted the terms and conditions of the service. Ferromex reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions as it deems necessary or convenient at any time and without prior notice to users of the Site. We encourage you to check and consult these Terms and Conditions regularly to stay informed of any changes or modifications. Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions is a prerequisite for purchasing any service available through the Site.

- Email requests will be processed within 48 business hours of receipt.
- In person at the Guadalajara ticket offices: Av. Washington No. 11, Col. Moderna, C.P. 44190o Tuesday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. or Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- There are no ticket sales at the Tequila station.

For reservations and ticket purchases for 1 to 19 passengers, the passenger must provide the following information:

Specify the desired service: First Class or Business Class.

Detailed itinerary by date.

Full names of all passengers, exactly as they appear on their official identification.

Age of each passenger at the time of travel.

Place of origin.
-
Indicate if special assistance is required and specify the type of assistance needed.

Contact information: telephone number including area code and email address.

Payment method: credit card or direct payment at the ticket counter.

The passenger will receive confirmation of their reservation via email, as well as the link for payment by card and the payment deadline.

Credit card payment via payment link. For this option, you must request it when booking. Upon payment, your tickets will be automatically sent to the email address provided.

Upon making the payment, the passenger accepts that the information detailed in the reservation confirmation is correct; therefore, in case of requesting any changes, a penalty of $250 MXN per ticket will be applied.

The reservation and sales process for groups is governed by its own policy, which is provided to interested parties.
- The ticket is valid solely for one trip.
- The ticket is the legal proof of the contract between the carrier and the passenger, and must be kept for any claims or clarifications.
- The price of a Business Class ticket includes the seat on the detailed itinerary only.
- The price of a First Class ticket includes the seat on the detailed itinerary and access to the bar, on Fridays and Sundays.
- When making a reservation or purchase, the passenger must ensure that all travel details (names, dates, etc.) are correct, as any changes will incur a charge of MXN $250 per passenger, plus any applicable fare changes.
- Names must match those on each passenger's official identification.
- The ticket is personal and non-transferable. If a passenger presents a ticket with a name different from the one on their identification, they will not be allowed to board.
- The ticket may not be resold or altered. Any alteration or modification to the ticket will render it invalid for travel.
- The ticket price includes traveler's insurance, which covers, among other things, medical expenses, funeral expenses, lost luggage, and accidental death on board the train. Any incident must be reported immediately to Tequila Express staff for the appropriate claim; otherwise, the traveler's insurance will be void.
- If the passenger loses or forgets their ticket, they must purchase a new one to complete their journey.
- Ferromex/Tequila Express reserves the right to inspect the ticket before and during the trip.
The company may modify rates without prior notice, so we ask that you review them at tequilaexpress.mx before making your reservation and/or purchase. All tour rates are listed in Mexican Pesos, the legal currency of the United Mexican States, and include Value Added Tax (VAT). The rates applicable at the time of purchase will apply. Similarly, tour schedules will be those published and valid at the time of purchase, and may be subject to change without prior notice.
Children aged 0-2 years travel free of charge; however, they are not entitled to a seat. Children and young people under 18 years of age must travel accompanied by a responsible adult, such as a parent or guardian.
- Children will only have access to the passenger cars. They will not be allowed in the bar.
- Under no circumstances will they be permitted to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages.
- They must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the tour.

Waiting areas at stations will open one hour before the train's scheduled departure time.

The passenger must be at the boarding station at least 45 minutes before the departure of the corresponding train.

Upon boarding, you must show your ticket to Tequila Express staff, either printed or on your electronic device, as well as your official photo ID (voter ID, passport, etc.). Minors may present a birth certificate, CURP (Mexican national ID number), or school ID.

Ferromex/Tequila Express assumes no obligation or responsibility for any change or delay, reasonably necessary or unavoidable, prior to or after the start of the provision of the contracted service and the result of action, omission or any other unexpected or unforeseeable fact, act or circumstance that is beyond its control.

Due to weather conditions, inconveniences caused by natural events and/or any other unforeseen or major cause beyond the control of Ferromex/Tequila Express, delays and/or unscheduled stops may occur, which will not imply under any circumstances any type of obligation or responsibility on the part of Ferromex/Tequila Express.

Due to any incident of force majeure, contingency or situation mentioned above, Ferromex/Tequila Express will not have any obligation to assume any type of responsibility towards the passenger for delays or inability to make connections with other means of transport, obligations or rights respectively agreed with hotels, restaurants or commitments in general agreed with any person, entity or company, whatever its business or corporate purpose.

Ferromex/Tequila Express reserves the right to provide the service without this implying the user's right to any claim, demand, payment or any other liability, if any of the following events occur:

If there are weather conditions that prevent the trip from taking place and/or delay it.
-
If the passenger does not comply with the instructions of the Ferromex/Tequila Express staff.
-
If a ticket is used that does not correspond to the passenger and/or that is being resold or has been altered. -
Because the user did not show up at the times indicated to board in advance.
-
Because the passenger was under the influence of alcohol, drugs or some narcotic.
-
-
You are not allowed to get off at stations other than those specified on your ticket.
-
If the passenger, without there being an imminent danger situation for any reason, decides to get off the means of transport before their final destination indicated on the ticket, they will do so at their own risk and responsibility, losing the right to use the rest of the journey.

On the other hand, if Ferromex/Tequila Express, in order to fulfill the service, requires providing an alternative and/or complementary form of transport and the passenger decides for any cause or reason not to use said service and continue the journey by their own means, they will personally and exclusively assume all the cost, risk and responsibility derived from said decision, without any obligation for Ferromex/Tequila Express.

Ferromex/Tequila Express reserves the right to substitute service cars due to force majeure and service needs.

Seat assignment is carried out automatically by our system, according to the order and/or availability at the time the reservations are made.

In the event that, due to force majeure or security reasons attributable to Ferromex/Tequila Express, it is necessary to change from a purchased class to a lower one, the passenger will be refunded the fare difference. This procedure must be requested at the end of the trip, sending all proof of purchase and tickets to the following email address: tequila.atencion@ferromex.mx
Ferromex/Tequila Express is not responsible for luggage that is already damaged or in poor condition, luggage that is oversized, overweight, or overfilled, or any damage resulting from mishandling prior to boarding the train, even if handled or assisted in loading by Chepe Express personnel. Likewise, Ferromex/Tequila Express is not responsible for any minor damage to luggage, including: wheels, supports, straps, retractable handles, zippers, loss of locks, external straps, or damage due to normal wear and tear or manufacturing defects. This also includes damage to or loss of valuables, money, jewelry, electronic devices, photographic or video equipment, laptops, cell phones, tablets, GoPros, essential medications, perishable or liquid items, precious stones, works of art, valuable documents, stocks and negotiable certificates, or easily perishable items, which are not considered luggage and are transported in checked baggage without the knowledge and consent of Ferromex/Tequila Express.

Baggage Inspection and Control: All baggage or parcels are subject to random inspection by Security Guards*, in coordination with supervisory personnel assigned to the Ferromex/Tequila Express Tourism Area and in the presence of the passenger responsible for the baggage or parcel, both before boarding and during the journey. If the passenger refuses such inspection, they will not be allowed to travel or continue the journey.

Luggage features:

The ticket only covers 25 kilograms of baggage (with a volume equivalent to one checked bag and one carry-on bag) per passenger; anyone who exceeds the weight or volume must pay the amount of $750.00 pesos per excess bag or suitcase.

It is not permitted to transport household goods, tires, automotive parts, bicycles, motorcycles, high-volume Christmas items, floral arrangements, bulky cardboard boxes, wooden crates, or sacks of food.

Only individual coolers (less than 70 cm long x 30 cm wide x 40 cm high) will be allowed, and these must not have a drain. All coolers must be sealed and their contents may not be removed along the route.

The following are not considered as luggage: strollers, walking sticks, crutches, wheelchairs or any other support device or accessory for passengers with a disability or injury

It is strictly forbidden to transport:
- Hazardous Materials: such as gasoline, diesel, petroleum, thinner (or any solvent), any type of gas, paint, oils, batteries, etc. (Any product that is flammable and/or considered a risk to the rest of the passengers).

Firearms of any caliber.
-
Sharp objects (razors, scissors, knives, machetes, shovel, bar, pickaxe, etc.).
-
Any other type of hazardous substance and damaged or defective batteries.
-
Prohibited or illegal substances. In the event of detection of consumption or possession of narcotics or any chemical substance illegal or prohibited by federal authorities, the appropriate authorities will be notified, as well as any persons involved.

According to Article 61 of the Railway Service Regulations, which states: If the weight, size, or nature of the luggage, or its packaging, makes it unsuitable for transport, in accordance with the provisions issued by the Agency, the concessionaire may refuse to transport it until such conditions are modified. Likewise, the concessionaire shall in no case be responsible for items that are not properly packaged or wrapped. Similarly, Ferromex/Tequila Express is not responsible if the passenger:

Do not verify that the password described on the documentation tag (baggage tag) of the checked baggage corresponds to your destination and your personal details.
-
When collecting your luggage, do not check that the number of passwords matches the pieces and registration numbers.
-
I forgot some piece(s) of luggage at stations, seats or the train's hold.

In the event of loss or damage to checked baggage, compensation will be provided in accordance with our insurance policy. Claims for damaged baggage must be reported to the purser and/or assistant manager on board at the baggage claim location before the passenger leaves the station.

All checked and carry-on baggage must have a baggage tag with your personal information, including your full name, address, email address, and phone number. You can request your baggage tag at the station ticket counters.

Random inspection by Railway Security (floor and onboard personnel). Excess baggage authorization by the Assistant Manager onboard the Tequila Express.

Please note that the train, due to its physical characteristics, has narrow aisles, so for safety reasons it is not possible to move a wheelchair through the different passenger cars.

It is important to note that our staff are not able to assist you with eating, assist you in the restroom, attend to physiological needs in your seat, or provide medical services.
- The onboard staff will only provide you with general assistance.

Passengers with special medical conditions. In specific cases, they must carry medical certificates. It will be mandatory to indicate this at the time of booking or making your purchase by notifying the email address tequila.atencion@ferromex.mx, if:

You have a health problem that reasonably casts doubt on the completion of your trip with peace of mind, without the need for special medical assistance during the trip.

Brain injury, the passenger is required to travel accompanied.

Terminal illness or death for other reasons. In addition to the medical certificate, the passenger is required to travel accompanied.

Infectious disease. Travel will not be permitted if the disease is transmissible in enclosed environments.

High-risk pregnancy or pregnancy after week 28.

According to Article 63 of the Railway Service Regulations, which states: The concessionaire may refuse to transport and access to railway facilities and boarding of trains will not be permitted to:

To unaccompanied girls and boys;
-
To pregnant women, from seven months of gestation onwards;
-
To persons who, due to the nature of their illness, present risks to other passengers, or whose transportation, due to their state of health, may imply a risk to their life;
-
Persons who are intoxicated or under the influence of narcotics or psychotropic substances, unless they have a medical prescription in the latter case, and
-
To persons carrying weapons without the respective permit, explosives, dangerous substances or, in general, any other element that constitutes a risk to users.
-
If the concessionaire agrees to transport the persons referred to in this article, it will be under the strict responsibility of the concessionaire and must take the necessary measures to protect the safety of those being transported during the journey.
Cases of travel changes with a paid ticket, by the passenger for reasons not attributable to Ferromex/Tequila Express:

All trains are subject to schedule changes or delays due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, in which case passengers may not take any action against the company. When any of these situations arise, Ferromex/Chepe will determine the train's movements.

Any modification to a sale will have a penalty of $250 MXN per change, for each passenger involved plus fare change (if applicable).
-
No changes will be allowed 15 calendar days before the start of the travel itinerary during the low season (according to the published calendar).
-
No changes will be allowed 30 calendar days before the start of the travel itinerary during peak season (according to the published schedule).
- There are no cancellations or refunds. If you need to change your travel date, you will be charged the corresponding penalty and any fare differences. You will have 364 days from your original travel date to make your trip.

If you notify us less than 72 business hours before or after the start of the trip, you will no longer be able to reschedule the trip, and you will lose the amount paid for it.
- For name changes of a passenger who is part of a group of 19 or fewer passengers (from 20 onwards the group policy will apply, consult: tequila.grupos@ferromex.mx), the current policies apply to the cost of the passenger's ticket and not to the total cost of the group.

For purchases made less than 72 hours before the travel itinerary, there will be no changes.

In the case of unused segments attributable to the passenger, the basis will be that mentioned in the previous paragraphs according to the unused amount.
In cases where the passenger already has a purchased ticket and an event occurs beyond the control of Ferromex/Tequila Express that makes the trip impossible, the company is obligated to:

Provide free date changes for travel in another season.
-
Where applicable, the ticket can be used to take the train on the opposite leg of the journey.
-
In cases where it is deemed appropriate and taking into account passenger safety, Ferromex/Tequila Express will determine if it is advisable to contract an external authorized transportation service (buses, tourist vans, etc.).

In cases where passengers are transferred by another means in accordance with the previous paragraph, in the branches where they had purchased their ticket, it will not be refunded, as the service will be considered as provided.

Ferromex/Tequila Express is not obligated to cover the costs of food, lodging, transfers of any kind or cancellation of other types of services, resulting from unforeseen circumstances or force majeure not attributable to it.

Ticket refunds due to reasons attributable to Ferromex/Tequila Express will result in a 100% refund of the unused portion of the journey and will only apply upon presentation of the ticket issued by Ferromex/Tequila Express. In these cases, the passenger will have up to 30 days to claim their refund, starting from the original departure date. After this period, no refunds will be issued.

In case of modification due to force majeure and if the passenger wishes to use their ticket to travel on another date, they will have 90 days to reschedule their travel date and 364 days to travel, starting from the original travel date.

For the aforementioned procedures, the passenger(s) must send an email to tequila.atencion@ferromex.mx with a scanned copy of their ticket, reservation code, email address, and contact phone number so they can receive information about the required documents. Their request will be processed within a maximum of 90 days from the date of confirmation of receipt of all required documents.

Passengers can request an invoice for their ticket purchase by sending a scanned copy of their ticket, their tax identification number, and their personal information in the body of the email to the following address: tequila.facturacion@ferromex.mx (The electronic invoice will be sent via this same method within no more than five business days, starting from the date the email is received).

The request must be submitted within the same month as the purchase; otherwise, it cannot be invoiced. Invoices requested between the 1st and 28th of the month will be issued with the current month's date, while those requested from the 29th onward will be issued with the following month's date.
No agent, server, representative, carrier, or third party has the power or ability to modify, restrict, or expand the terms of this document.
